Local businesses and organizations enjoy many benefits to belonging to the Lopez Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber publishes the Map and Guide to Lopez Island and hosts many activities throughout the year. Members are also listed on our website, which has very high traffic from people searching for businesses or activities on Lopez Island. Memberships will be charged based on business size. If your employee number fluctuates seasonally, please choose the tier that most accurately reflects your average business size.

Tier One: Business Owner and up to 3 employees (4 total)
Tier Two: Business with 5-9 employees
Tier 3: Business with 10+ employees

Businesses within their first two years of operation will receive a $25 discount in membership during those two years.

This includes all non-profits, organizations that serve the local community, and farms.
Please note: If your farm also provides lodging or services other than just production of farm products, please enroll as a ‘Business Member’ instead.

Registration Process:

  1. Under “Registration Form” below, create your username, fill in your email and click the “Register” button. 
  2. The Lopez Chamber directory system will send an email with a link to set a password for your account. 
  3. After you have set your password, you will be redirected to the login page. Fill in the username and password you’ve created to login. 
  4. You will be automatically redirected to the Membership Dashboard. In this dashboard, you will be able to create new listings.

Creating Your Listing:

Once you have registered you will have access to the Membership Dashboard. You can access your membership dashboard by logging in at the menu > Member Login. You will be redirected to your membership dashboard.

  1. Select the “Create Your Listing” button to start creating a new listing.
  2. Select your membership type and size of business.
  3. Fill your listing information and upload pictures of your business.
  4. Once you are done creating your listing you will be directed to your account invoice tab and your listing will become active after payment.
  5. Please check if all the information in the invoice box is correct before proceeding to pay your invoice.
  6. Select the payment method [PayPal Subscription] and follow the payment gateway process. As soon as you have paid your invoice, you will receive your receipt via email and your listing is now live on our web directory.

What does the Chamber do to support its members?

  • Maintain and staff an office to assist visitors and support our membership.
    Please feel free to make your brochures and business cards available in the office for our walk-in visitors.
  • Produce and distribute the Map & Guide of Lopez Island.
  • Produce and distribute the Lopez Village Map.
  • Maintain a comprehensive website and a database for our membership, which is heavily visited by internet users. Our website links to your business website.
  • Send out a bi-weekly email newsletter with current events and member announcements to our members and a large group of non-member subscribers.
  • Send out a monthly Business Bulletin with highlights and opportunities specifically geared towards business owners.
  • Maintain an online Community Calendar of events.
  • Provide and manage the community bulletin board at Lopez Village Market
  • Provide a link to the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau, which is the County’s tourism entity, and maintain a working relationship with Orcas and San Juan Chambers.
  • Maintain and manage the grounds, shower and restrooms in the Village Park year-round. This includes providing recycle and trash bins.

Our all-volunteer Chamber Board members meet once a month and are the backbone of all the responsibilities listed above. Being part of our board is another way of staying in touch with the business climate on the island and being part of the effort to provide a positive experience to visitors while protecting the way of life that draws people here to live.

The Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce is a 501© (6) Not for Profit Corporation. Most expenses are deductible as business expenses but are not considered charitable contributions. We are a volunteer organization dedicated to strengthening the businesses in our community.
