Housing Lopez Executive Director

Housing Lopez is a small but growing organization with a mission to create and steward permanently affordable rental housing on Lopez Island. With our first project, FishBay Cottages, complete we are ready to embark on a new and exciting development in the Village. We’re looking for an Executive Director to join us on this challenging and rewarding journey as we develop high quality, beautiful new rental opportunities for Island residents.

The new Executive Director will:

1. Collaborate with and support the Board of Directors to establish and implement strategic goals to accomplish Housing Lopez’s objectives.

2. Develop and oversee a robust communications and fundraising program to elevate the organization’s visibility and success.

3. Learn about the real estate development process and provide support to working board members and outside consultants from initial project planning to property management.

4. Manage a robust community input process so that new development reflects community values and preferences.

5. Develop strong relationships with key County and State staff as well as local nonprofits and community members.

6. Oversee and support the work of the finance and property management contract staff.

This is an exempt position with an annual salary of $54,600, assuming 30 hours per week. Vacation and sick leave included.
