State Parks Free Day! No Discover Pass Required

Washington State Parks offers several “free days” when a Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park by vehicle. Remember that it is always free to enter if you hike or bike in!

Go for a hike, enjoy a fire in our pits on the beach or bring your binocs for some epic bird watching!

Please remember to Leave No Trace by keeping your furry friends on a leashW

*Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities). June 8 and 9 are free days on lands managed by State Parks and Fish & Wildlife (a pass is still required on lands managed by DNR, like Upright Channel). A Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington state departments of Natural Resources and Fish & Wildlife on all other days. Sno-Park permits are still required on free days at designated Sno-Parks during the winter season.
