Salish Sea New Music

There is an exciting opportunity to hear one of the century’s great clarinetists, jazz interpreters and composers, William O. Smith, performing his newest works, alongside works written for the occasion by Slovenian composer Igor DeKleva (Ljubljiana) and Northwest composer Huntley Beyer (Seattle).

The afternoon’s program will feature 5 premieres: “Session” for clarinet, violin and flutes; “Jazz Set” for flute & violin and the world premieres of “It’s Personal” for flute, clarinet and violin by Huntley Beyer; “Nostalgic Fantasy” for flute, clarinet and violin by Igor DeKleva (Slovenia) and “Fantasy for Solo Flute” by William O. Smith.

Musicians are William O. “Bill” Smith~clarinet, Jeffrey Cohan~flute and Sharyn Peterson~violin.
