20th Anniversary
Tour de Lopez is an annual, non-competitive bicycle ride that showcases the natural beauty and welcoming community of Lopez Island—often called “the Friendly Isle” of Washington’s San Juan archipelago. Whether you’re up for a leisurely coastal cruise or a challenging hill climb, our routes cater to every type of cyclist. With routes ranging from roughly 5 to 31 miles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The 2026 ride will take place on Saturday, April 25. Routes are open from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, giving you plenty of time to soak in the island’s charm at your own pace. Check-in is available the evening before, Friday, April 24, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, or on the morning of the ride.
More than just a bike ride, Tour de Lopez celebrates community spirit, scenic backroads, and the laid-back island lifestyle. Expect friendly waves from local residents, rest stops with island-inspired snacks, and a chance to connect with fellow cyclists in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.

Thanks to the continued support of Tour de Lopez participants, the new covered picnic shelter in the Village Park is complete! After covering annual restroom and shower house expenses, Tour de Lopez proceeds helped make this long-awaited community gathering space a reality.
Looking ahead, future proceeds will support the creation of a children’s nature-inspired playscape in the Village Park, with hopes of opening by summer 2026. This new addition will provide a welcoming place for kids and families to play, explore, and connect.

PARKING
Diamond Parking is providing free parking for participants in the UPPER LOT D only, April 23 – 26.
Please follow the signs – the entrance to the upper lot is just past the auto ticket booths to the left (up the hill). A parking pass is included in this mailing. Please print it out and display it on your car’s windshield; otherwise, you will be ticketed. For those wishing to park closer to the terminal, paid parking is still available in all lower lots, starting at $8 per day.
There will be additional signage marking this year’s parking area. Those parked in the incorrect lot or who have not displayed the TDL Parking Pass and receive a parking ticket will not have their tickets refunded.
Please review the aerial map (below) of the Anacortes Ferry Landing. Lot ‘D’ (in yellow) is the ONLY lot that offers free parking for TDL participants. Again, those who park in the incorrect lot will not have their tickets refunded.
Please print the parking pass on a half sheet of paper (8.5″ x 5.5″) and place it on the front dashboard of your vehicle.
