Notice of a Public Hearing of the San Juan County Council Granting a Nonexclusive Franchise for Water Distribution Facilities Authorizing Limited Use of the Public Road Rights-of-Way in San Juan County, Washington, to Orcas Landing Inc.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Juan County Council will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receiving testimony on an Ordinance of the San Juan County Council Granting a Nonexclusive Franchise for Water Distribution Facilities Authorizing Limited Use of the Public Road Rights-of-Way in San Juan County, Washington, to Orcas Landing Inc. The public hearing will be held either via Skype videoconference Tuesday, September 29, 2020 beginning at 9:15 AM. The Council may continue the hearing to another time and/or place without additional written notice.
At the hearing, members of the public will be invited to speak (via teleconference) and/or provide written statements regarding the proposed Ordinance. After the public testimony portion of the hearing has ended, the Council will deliberate and consider modifications to the Ordinance that are proposed by members of the public, county employees or the Council. The proposed Ordinance may then be adopted with or without modifications.
SUMMARY: The Ordinance grants Orcas Landing Inc. a non-exclusive franchise agreement to construct, maintain, operate, replace and repair water distribution facilities, in, on, over, along, under, or through public rights-of-way within unincorporated San Juan County.
