Outdoor Movie at the Grange! – The Whale Rider
Outdoor Movies at the Grange are back for a second season from June – August! Come out and enjoy a movie under the stars and relax on the Grange lawn. Movies shown on the south wall of the building. In case of rain, movie will be shown indoors on the Grange’s new movie screen.
For our first Summer Outdoor Movie Night, The Lopez Island Grange will show the New Zealand family friendly drama “The Whale Rider.”
Time: 8 PM (live music), approx 9:00-9:30 PM – Movie shown at dusk
About: Only males are allowed to ascend to chiefdom in a Maori tribe in New Zealand. This ancient custom is upset when the child selected to be the next chief dies at birth.
