Due to a last minute re-routing of the Tribal Canoes yesterday, there will be no canoes coming to Lopez today.

However, the potluck is still being held beginning sometime around 5-5:30!  A lot of work and cooking has been done in preparation for this event that shouldn’t go to waste.  So bring an appetite and plan to spend some quality time with friends, neighbors and visitors. Remember to bring your own plates and utensils.  It’s a great day to be at Odlin Park.

Please pass this message along to anyone you know that might be planning to attend.

Standing Together

The Inter-Tribal Canoe Journey is a cultural rejuvenation of the Coast Salish peoples.  Lopez and San Juan Island have the honor of hosting the tribal canoe families and friends at Odlin County Park and English Camp.

The canoes arrive on Lopez mid-afternoon, Saturday July 21. A potluck dinner will be served at 5:30pm. Bring your own utensils and PLEASE carpool!
Everyone is welcome to stay after dinner for our visitor’s presentations, performances, and gift sharing around the fire (known as Protocol).

Volunteers are needed to: cook, serve, generally help out.
