Dr. Heidi Roop is the lead Scientist at the UW Climate Impacts Group and her professional mission is “to improve the reach and impact of climate science in order to engage, motivate and catalyze action around climate change. Heidi aspires to be a scientist who changes how the world engages in science, with scientists.” Peter is just back from a stint of field work in the Antarctic. He is a glaciologist and earth scientist specializing in the use of glacier ice as a medium for understanding past, present and future climate and atmospheric chemistry, and employing geochemical techniques to reveal this information.
