CPR and First Aid Class

Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. Come learn this life saving skill at The Lopez Fire Department.
This class will teach you:
– to recognize when CPR is needed.
– how to perform high-quality CPR.
– how to use an AED.
Having the training and confidence to act when CPR is needed can save the life of someone you love.

In this class we will cover several useful first aid skills including:

Medical emergencies:
Choking
Asthma
Stroke

Injury Emergencies:
Bleeding control
Burns
Broken bones

Environmental Emergencies:
Heat Stroke
Bites and stings
Hypothermia

Come gain the confidence to recognize a true emergency, learn what to do and when to call 911 for help.
