Basic First Aid and CPR Classes 

Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. Come learn this life saving skill at the Lopez Fire Department.
This class will teach you:

  • to recognize when CPR is needed.
  • how to perform high-quality CPR.
  • how to use an AED.
    Having the training and confidence to act when CPR is needed can save the life of someone you love.
    Class with certification is $20.

You can also sign up for Basic First Aid. In this class we will cover several useful first aid skills including:

Medical emergencies:
Choking
Asthma
Stroke

Injury Emergencies:
Bleeding control
Burns
Broken bones

Environmental Emergencies:
Heat Stroke
Bites and stings
Hypothermia

Come gain the confidence to recognize a true emergency, learn what to do and when to call 911 for help.
