This year’s tour is brought to you again by Martin and Malay and 36 artists and craftspeople with the support of the local merchants and the Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce. You are invited into our studios and workplaces so that you can see us at work and in our own environment and purchase direct from the artists. You are encouraged to ask questions about the materials we use , the tools we prefer and how we get inspired. Some of us will be at work and will demonstrate techniques. Brochures with a map will direct you to the studios are available at several locations throughout the Village including the Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce. Virgo Birthday Bash with Elephant Revival

"Elephant Revival is a magical blend of melodies and rhythms with their roots in the past and their hearts in the future.” - Bill Nershi of String Cheese Incident. Nederland Colorado neo-acoustic quintet Elephant Revival plays a unique blend of an emerging new musical genre called Transcendental Folk. The quintet can be seen delving into Scottish/Celtic fiddle tunes, original folk pieces, traditional ballads, psychedelic country, indie rock, powerful reggae grooves, 40s/50s jazz standards and an occasional hip-hop beat amongst other styles. The band consists of Bonnie Paine (vocals, washboard, djembe, musical saw), Sage Cook (electric banjo/guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, viola, vocals), Dango Rose (double-bass, mandolin, banjo, vocals), Daniel Rodriguez (acoustic guitar, electric banjo/guitar vocals) and Bridget Law (fiddle and vocals). Lopez Home Tour 2010

Come join us for our Annual Home Tour. Seven Homes including two historical farm sites, water front homes, one with exceptional gardens, an owner-built compact/small home, remodeled homes and one with an extrordiinary outbuilding constructed for antique autos. Once again we will offer an interesting collection. Tickets: $30.00. Available from: Community Center office, and online. Tickets for the Home Tour will be available for purchase at the Lopez Community Center on Saturday, September 18th from 9 am - 12 noon. The Home Tour starts at 11 am and ends at 4 pm. Box lunches will be available for $5.00. They will be sold at the Center from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Lunch will include choice of wrap, (ham, cheese, veggies, etc.) fruit, cookie and a soda.
