Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness Meeting2018-05-16T04:56:20+00:00

TOPIC: Heating, Light & Power during an extended power outage

This will be the fifth in an ongoing series of Disaster Preparedness talks. Each month’s meeting will have a new topic. Please come and find out how you and your neighborhood can get better prepared. If widespread disaster were to strike, the islands could be left waiting for help for a long time. We are well poised on Lopez to get prepared but the time to plan and act is BEFORE something happens.

POTLUCK & MEETING BOTH start at 7pm.  Grab a plate of yummy food to eat (optional) while listening to our presenter(s). Bring a dish to share and your own plate/cup/utensils.

Presentations by Nathan Donnelly of Reverence Permaculture and perhaps a guest speaker.
After the presentations there will be time for Q&A then small group discussions will follow.

By brainstorming and working together, we can potentially minimize the impact of disasters & emergencies on our island. We hope that a neighborhood preparedness model will come out of these efforts that can be replicated.
