This will be the fourth in an ongoing series of Disaster Preparedness talks. Each month’s meeting will have a new topic. Please come and find out how you and your neighborhood can get better prepared. If widespread disaster were to strike, the islands could be left waiting for help for a long time. We are well poised on Lopez to get prepared but the time to plan and act is BEFORE something happens.
POTLUCK & MEETING BOTH start at 7pm
Grab a plate of food to eat (optional) while listening to our presenters. Bring a dish to share and your own plate/cup/utensils.
After the presentations there will be time for Q&A then small group discussions will follow.
By brainstorming and working together, we can potentially minimize the impact of disasters & emergencies on our island. We hope that a neighborhood preparedness model will come out of these efforts that can be replicated.
